Out of the 5 ski resorts in Georgia, Bakuriani is among the most popular ones, given its relatively short distance from Tbilisi and Kutaisi, especially if compared with Gudauri, the largest ski resort in the country. In this post, I will show you where to stay in Bakuriani, with a selection of the best Bakuriani hotels and other accommodation that will suit different budgets, including the new Orbi Bakuriani.

I have a couple of favourite hotels in Bakuriani, out of which Bakuriani Inn is my top choice, given the facilities that include a swimming pool.

In the past few years, there has been an increase in the number of hotels in Bakuriani and this year the ski resort is booming. If you have a few days, your stay in Bakuriani should be combined with a day trip to nearby Borjomi, home to the most famous water in Georgia and a popular resort since the times of the Russian Empire. The Borjomi-Bakuriani train ride is also highly recommended.

This shows how it’s becoming one of the most popular places to visit in Georgia, especially in winter. So let’s start with the more exclusive Bakuriani hotels.

The Best Bakuriani Hotels

Rooms Hotel Kokhta

Rated 9.2/10 – Prices from €150 per night

When looking where to stay in Bakuriani, you should also consider Rooms Hotels Kokhta. It’s the newest addition to the Rooms Hotels family – a Georgian collection of trendy and design-led hotels. Bakuriani Inn

Rated 9.4/10 – Prices start at €70 per night

This is my overall favourite among all Bakuriani hotels. This 5-star hotel has a restaurant, indoor swimming pool, spa and a fitness centre. The rooms are modern and quite spacious and some can accommodate small families. What I like the most about the hotel is the modern and trendy style, combined with the leisure facilities. All rooms offer a garden view.

Snow Plaza

Rated 8.3/10 – Prices start at €115 per night

Located close to the town centre, Snow Plaza Hotel is among the most popular hotels in Bakuriani within the higher range. The hotel has a restaurant, fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool and kid’s playground. Snow Plaza Hotel also offers free bikes and ski gear to hire. The rooms at Snow Plaza are spacious and decorated in a modern style, have a balcony and many also have a jacuzzi.

Mid-Range Hotels In Bakuriani

Most Bakuriani hotels fall into this category: three and four-star hotels with different standards of accommodation, services and facilities.

Here I selected the best mid-range hotels in Bakuriani based on previous reviews by previous guests who reserved via Booking.com. You may already know, but only those who genuinely stayed at the hotels can leave a review on the site, unlike other review sites.

King David Bakuriani

Rated 9.4/10 – Prices start at €50 per night

This 4-star hotel is located 500m from Bakuriani town centre and offers its guests 24-hour reception and a restaurant. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV and some rooms also have a small kitchen area. King David Bakuriani Hotel also serves a buffet breakfast.

Crystal Hotel Bakuriani

Rated 9/10 – Prices from €90 per night

This is an excellent option if you want a hotel in Bakuruiani with a spa and a swimming pool at less than €100 a night. The rooms at Crystal Hotel Bakuriani are very spacious and some of them have two double beds.

The restaurant serves local and European dishes. It is located only 5-minutes from Bakuriani train station and, if you are driving, there is also free parking available. Kokhta 2 ski lift is less than 1km away.

Orbi Palace Bakuriani

Newly opened – Prices from €50 per night

Orbi Bakuriani is the newest property in the portfolio of Georgian’s giant construction firm. The rooms are decorated in a modern style, equipped with all modern conveniences. Some rooms are very spacious and have a sitting area.

The hotel has a large common lounge on the ground floor, a restaurant and a concierge service. This is a good option for those looking for quality accommodation at reasonable prices.

BM Plaza Hotel

Rated 8.4/10 – Prices starting at €75 per night

BM Plaza Hotel offers modern and beautifully decorated rooms, most of them with a seating area. It also has an in-house restaurant serving Georgian and classic European dishes. Guests can also buy their ski passes at the hotel, which also counts with direct hotel-to-ski access. If you are staying here and hit the ski slopes, you can come back to enjoy the warmth of the hotel sauna.

Budget Hotels In Bakuriani

Hotel Apollon

Rated 9/10 – Prices from €30 per night

This is the budget hotel with the best rating in Bakuriani, as assessed by Booking.com customers. It has simple but nice rooms decorated in rural Alpine style.

It is located only 500m from Bakuriani town and 500m from the ski slopes. The hotel restaurant serves local and European cuisine, and guests can take horse riding lessons or have a winter sports instructor. The hotel also serves a very good breakfast.

Marani Hotel

Rated 8.7/10 – Prices from €30 per night

With very honest prices, Marani Hotel is one of the best budget hotels in Bakuriani and has modern rooms that can accommodate from couples to families. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, a lounge, shared kitchen and is located only 300m from Bakuriani station. Marani Hotel also has a small playground for families with children.

Hotel Prima

Rated 8.1/10 – Prices from €45 per night

Prima Hotel is located only 500m from Tatra ski lift, bang in the middle of Bakuriani Ski Resort. It is among the few Bakuriani Hotels in this price range that has an indoor swimming pool.

It also has a sauna and a games room. The restaurant at Prima Hotel serves traditional Georgian dishes in its four restaurants. The rooms are good-sized and most of them have a balcony overlooking the ski resort area.

Papa Noel Hostel – The Only Hostel In Bakuriani

Rated 9.1/10 – Prices from €8 per bed per night

Looking where to stay in Bakuriani on a super budget? Papa Noel Hostel is the only hostel in Bakuriani. It has dormitory rooms with private bathrooms, that can accommodate 4 to 6 people in mixed as well as male or female-only rooms.

Papa Noel Hostel has a restaurant serving all daily meals and you can choose to book bed-only or have your meals included in the price. Their breakfast is very good – perfect to fill up before going to the snow.
