I found out about Suite Home Hotel when looking for accommodation in Kuwait City on Booking.com. Considering that Kuwait is an expensive country, it not surprising  that a hotel overnight stay may cost you an arm and a leg.

Where to Stay in Kuwait City: Suite Home HotelSuite Home, located in the Bnaid Al Gar area, five minutes from the corniche beach and ten minutes on foot from the Kuwait Towers, is a more affordable option. It’s in fact a very decent three-star hotel and the staff are very pleasant and helpful, although some of them could speak better English.My room was fairly small but spacious enough for one person. The bed was very comfortable with feather duvet and pillows.

When it come to cleanliness, they excelled themselves, it was totally spotless – and bear in mind I’m very picky when it comes to hotel room cleanliness! There was no alcohol in the minibar, which is not packed, so there’s room to store any food you buy at the small shops nearby. For those who travel with a lot of luggage, there is a huge wardrobe with enough storage space and a safe.The hotel also has a restaurant and some rates include breakfast.

The hotel also has a sauna and swimming pool – which I personally didn’t use – and (very) fast wi-fi free of charge.As I explained, the room rates are very affordable for Kuwaiti standards – around KWD23 (£53, USD81, €61) per night, without breakfast.If you need to apply for a visa to visit Kuwait, this hotel, doesn’t offer assistance. This is only done by four or five-star hotels.
