Assuming you’re staying in downtown Denver, there are a few different ways to get around. You can either walk, take public transportation, or rent a car for the day.

If you’re feeling up for an adventure, we recommend renting a car so that you can explore all that Denver has to offer without being restricted by schedules or routes.

Once you have your transportation sorted out, it’s time to start exploring the outdoors! After all, Denver is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Nestled against the majestic Rocky Mountains, the Mile High City offers endless opportunities to get outside and explore.

For starters, with over 200 miles of trails, Denver has no shortage of hiking trails, ranging from easy to difficult. One of our favorites is the scenic Mount Falcon Park Trail, which features stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains.

In addition, it is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States. There are over 850 miles of paths to choose from. The Cherry Creek Trail, which also covers areas of neighboring Aurora, Colorado, is a popular option, offering beautiful views of Cherry Creek and downtown Denver.

If you’re in the mood for a more aquatic activity, then get out on one of Denver’s many lakes and waterways for a day of kayaking or paddleboarding. Glide through peaceful waters while taking in stunning views of the city and mountains.
