Despite the title Sin City, there is a plethora of attractions that make it the perfect destination for all kinds of travelers whether going solo, or a group of friends and families alike.

This 3-day itinerary was prepared to show Las Vegas for first-timers, but even if you’ve been to the city before, I’m sure you’ll find it helpful, as well.

Itinerary: Las Vegas In 3 Days

Las Vegas is the largest city within the greater Mojave Desert. Before you arrive for your 3-day Vegas trip, you’ll want to make a hotel reservation so you don’t spend precious time looking for the right accommodation.

The best hotels are on the famous four-and-a-half-mile-long Las Vegas Strip.

With so many things to see and do in Vegas, it can be challenging to know where to begin. To help you plan your trip, here is a great 3-day Las Vegas itinerary to help you enjoy your break in this glamorous city.

Las Vegas Itinerary: Day 1

See the “Welcome to Las Vegas” Sign

3-day Las Vegas itinerary: Vegas for first-timers

The first thing you should do in Sin City, as Vegas is often called, is to visit the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.

Yes, it’s a very touristy thing to do, but you are a tourist! You’ll want to grab a photo of yourself at the sign, which is located off Sunset Road and Las Vegas Boulevard; at the start of the Strip. This is a must for Vegas first-timers.

Take a Trip to Little Finland

Vegas comes alive after dark. So, while you’re sure to be itching to discover the entertainment on offer along the Strip, it’s best to first explore the area at night.

So, in the daytime on the first of your 3-day trip to Vegas, take a three-hour trip to one of the most scenic and photographed places on the planet: Little Finland.

Located in a remote area of the Mojave Desert, you’ll see incredible naturally-formed red sandstone rocks of fantastical shapes.

As you head back to the city on a bus after visiting Little Finland, you could play online games at Casumo casino on your phone to get into the right mood for the evening. 

Play Fun Games at the Bellagio

The Bellagio fountains are a must-see during your 3 days in Las Vegas

Of course, you have a wide choice of casinos to visit in the evening.

You can try your hand at great casino games like roulette, craps, and blackjack, or you can enjoy fine dining and watch a show at any of the primary casino resorts.

One of the most famous casino and hotel resorts is the Bellagio. Outside, you can view the world-famous Bellagio Fountains.

Get there at the right time and you’ll see the stunning water show in which the fountains are choreographed to accompany well-known music.

Inside the Bellagio, you will be amazed at the 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers that cover the entire ceiling of the lobby.

In addition to the elegant casino, the Bellagio offers a nightclub where you can boogie late into the night.

Let’s not forget that Bellagio is also a hotel, so you may choose to stay here during your short break in Las Vegas.

Sightsee Around the Strip

Once you have experienced Vegas in all its nightlife glory, on the next of your 3-day Vegas trip you’ll be ready to see the city’s famous attractions.

All of them are close to one another, so it’s best to take your time and amble between each one to really soak up the unique feel of the Vegas Strip.

You could see the smaller version of the Eiffel Tower, see real-life flamingoes at the Flamingo Hotel, take a ride on the High Roller Ferris wheel, or head to the Venetian for a gondola ride on the lagoon.

Grab a Gourmet Bite at Bardot Brasserie

While you tour the Strip, you’re sure to notice a wide variety of restaurants and eateries, many of which are world-renowned.

One of the best to visit after sightseeing is the Bardot Brasserie, which features an unforgettable menu from celebrity chef Michael Mina. Make sure you try the gorgeous brioche French toast with almond brittle and vanilla mascarpone. Yum-yum.

Go Clubbing

Vegas is just as well-known for its clubbing scene as much as it is known for its casinos, so you’re sure to want to dance the night away at some of the best clubs on the Strip.

However, not every club is open every night, so check before you turn up. The best clubs in Vegas are Omnia, Hakkasan, XS, Marquee, and Kaos.

If you’re traveling with children and clubbing is not your thing, you may want to explore the fun attractions at AREA15, located just a few minutes from the Strip.

3-Day Las Vegas Itinerary: Last Day

Relax at a Spa

If you had a late night, there’s no better way to start the last of your 3 days in Vegas than heading to a luxury spa.

Most of the major hotel resorts offer spa treatments to the public, including the Venetian, the Luxor, and Caesar’s Palace. You could visit the steam room, have a massage, or take a dip in the hot tub.

Take Selfies with Celebs at Madame Tussauds

From Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga, a host of incredibly famous names have performed in Las Vegas over the years.

You may be limited as to who you can see performing, but you can still soak up the celebrity atmosphere of Vegas by taking a trip to Madame Tussauds.

There are lifelike waxworks of Elvis Presley, Tupac, Muhammad Ali, and even characters from the Marvel Universe like Spiderman and Iron Man.

Watch a Show at the V Theater

The best way to end a three-day trip to Las Vegas is to catch a show. One of the best venues is the V Theater.

It provides a wide variety of shows that really sum up what Vegas is all about. Shows include The Mentalist, VEGAS! The Show, Zombie Burlesque, and V – The Ultimate Variety Show.

From comedy to magic to singing and dancing, V Theater provides everything you would expect from traditional Las Vegas entertainment.

You should also be able to see some famous names take the stage, but who you watch will depend on when you go. Regardless of the show you see, catching a V Theater show is sure to be an experience you’ll never forget.

There is only so much you can include on a 3-day Las Vegas itinerary, especially if it’s to show Vegas for first-timers. But if you have more time, there are tons of other attractions in the city and some fun day trips, including helicopter rides to the Gran Canyon or a visit to St. George, Utah, a place with plenty of outdoor attractions.
