London Christmas

Last night England was hit by constant rain and severe gales, which affected roads and brought the railway system to a standstill. The wind was hitting my window and making that hissing noise that reminds you of a horror film scene.

Nonetheless, I decided to brave the rain and the wind and go for a walk, since the city has been extremely busy with shoppers running around, and I’ve found it quite difficult to appreciate the city these past few weeks.

I walked from Westminster station, where I had a superb view of the blue-lit London Eye, crossed Westminster Bridge, walked along South Bank and crossed Waterloo Bridge, which offers one of the most privileged views of the capital, and where the wind nearly carried me.

Up to here I seemed to be the only person on the streets. I continued my walk past the Lyceum Theatre to Covent Garden, where a singer was pleasing a small crowd with Christmas carols and the odd pop song. It’s hard not to fall for the decoration there, with giant Christmas balls hanging from the ceiling and a tall tree just outside the market.

Next I walked to Leicester Square, where the which was busier than the route so far, and continued through Piccadilly and Regent Street, whose Christmas lights need no comments – well, let’s just say they are the best in the city!

It was a wet walk and I had to be extra careful with my camera, but it was very enjoyable! Well, my camera was probably slightly wetter than recommended, but I think it did a good job – considering. What do you think?

Wow….. Images are so majestic and captivating. No doubt London is one of most prominent and famous attractions among tourists, which is also one of my favourite travel destinations. I visited there before my boston to washington dc bus tours with my family. During our visit we had seen numerous of fabulous places around it. But here I will talk about Boston Manor Park, which offers a visitor relaxed and charming surroundings full of nature’s beauty. Manor house was splendid too and guys if you used to visit there don’t forget to take experiences of luxurious stay at Boston Manor Hotel. It was remarkable and most pleasant journey of my life but I never experienced to spend my Christmas vocations there yet. But after reading your article I am thinking to plan my vocations there.

Thank you so much! It’s never nice to walk around in the rain, risking to damage your camera. But I think it was really worth it.

      Thank you for your visit!
